Selena Gomez is an internationally known actress and singer. One of the shows she's participated in and has enjoyed the most success is the Disney series he Wizards of Waverly Place. Her full name is Selena Marie Gomez. Born on the 22nd of July 1992, at Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. The mother of Selena's Amanda Cornett, who was 16 at the time Selena was born. She got her first stage show job at the age of nine when she played Gianna as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. Through this she became one of the thousands of youngsters who've been able to have a chance to play with the humanoid purple dinosaur which has grown to become popular in the past. Selena played a role in several episodes for seasons 7 and 8 in the period 2001 - 2003. Fun fact: Selena was not the only performer to have appeared on Barney and the Friends during this period; Demi Lovato was also a part of the cast of the show. Selena Gomez, after she quit the show, was unsuccessful in auditions for movies and television shows. There was a small role in Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003 and an additional role in 2004 as Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. The role of Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her in the 2006 film Brain Zapped, for which she wrote music.
